Magha Puja Day, also called Sangha Day or Fourfold Assembly Day, is observed on the first full moon of Magh, typically in January or February. It commemorates the spontaneous gathering of 1,250 Buddhists to honor the Buddha and is a time to reaffirm commitment to the Buddhist community, or Sangha.
