Belonging Works is built so that you stay in control of your information. How we handle your data
We collect only what we need to run the service: the details you give us when you create an account, the activity that lets us show you the right learning content, and standard technical data such as your browser type and IP address. We use this information to provide and improve Belonging Works, to keep your account secure, and to contact you about the service. We do not sell your personal information as that term is commonly understood.

Your rights over your data
You can exercise the following rights directly from your account settings, and we will always honour requests made by email:
- Export your data. Download a machine-readable copy of the information we hold about you, including your profile, learning activity, and donation history, from your account settings.
- Delete your account. Ask us to remove your account and personal information. Removing is not the same as hiding: when you delete, we begin permanently erasing your data, subject to any information we must keep to meet a legal obligation.
- Restore within 7 days. If you change your mind, you have a 7-day grace window after requesting deletion to restore your account in full. After 7 days the deletion becomes permanent and cannot be undone.
- Correct your information. Update inaccurate or incomplete details at any time from your account settings.
Consent and cookie controls
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site. With your permission we would also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used and marketing cookies to improve our outreach. You are asked to make a choice the first time you visit, and necessary cookies are the only ones used until you opt in.
