This Sikh holy day, observed on October 20, is the Gurgaddi (Guru Gaddi Divas) marking the Installation of the Guru Granth Sahib. It commemorates 1708, when Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth and last human Guru, declared the scripture the eternal Guru of the Sikhs.
