Vasant Panchami is a Hindu festival honoring Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music, arts, and learning, celebrated on the fifth day of the month of Magha (January or February). Also called Saraswati Puja, it is especially prominent in eastern India and marks the coming of spring.
