World Down Syndrome Day is a global awareness day observed every March 21. The date (21/3) symbolizes the triplication of the 21st chromosome that causes Down syndrome. Declared by the UN in 2011 (effective 2012), it advocates for the rights, inclusion, and well-being of people with Down syndrome.
